Chillpak Hollywood Hour #125

· Comment(1)

This week, Dean and Phil discuss the feature documentary they are currently shooting, and analyze it in the context of one current and one recent documentary (Michael Moore’s Capitalism, A Love Story and Bill Maher’s Religulous). This leads into a discussion about film marketing, which in itself, serves as a beautiful segue-way to Part 2 of Dean and Phil’s conversation with actor-producer-director Stephen Furst. If you caught last week’s installment, you know that in addition to being talented and funny, Stephen is refreshingly honest. And if you haven’t caught last week’s episode … What’s wrong with you?! Don’t miss out on all the fun!

Oh! exactly! I wanted to watch the movie about religion since I do study religious studies (not to be mixed up with theology) but then when I heard that he doesn’t even listen to the people and saw the trailer, I thought there would be nothing to learn from that? It has this “I am so above you all” feeling to it.
Like you said- he made it look like he wanted to and doesn’t seem to have been willing to learn new things.. I mean how can anyone talk bad about religious fundamentalists who sometimes stick to stupid opinions -and do the *exact same thing* the atheist way. But then, I didnt watch it so I can barely comment on it- but I love how you commented on it.
Like in academic studies: you wanna write an essay about something-you gotta do research. So at the end, they say, you never end up with what you had in mind originally. So you have to write the *introduction* after you have finished the whole thing. Just sayin’ haha ;p
