The whole "marijuana" topic is quite interesting. I remember how one of my professors used to say that alcohol is even more toxic to the body than heroin and still is legal while all other drugs aren't. I am not necessarily shouting "Legalization" whenever I get a chance but I think it should be "all or nothing". There is just not a single reason to keep marijuana illegal while alcohol is not.
Interesting to know about all the medical marijuana use, too, because as far as I know, in Germany it is almost never used with a medical indication. Interesting difference :)

Nice podcast, as usual :)

Hey!
I thought the whole risk management/sequel theme very striking in the previous podcast. Left me rather gloomy lol. Film, imperialism, health care - money rules the world. Comparing colonies and independent movies: the money that comes from outside means control and dependency and means less chances for progressive solutions.
In connection with some things going on in the Phile fandom, I was just thinking that sequels also make money because people want to believe /be made believe that what was good in the past will be good in the future. When of course in life nothing lasts forever and the only permanent thing is impermanence, right? Also didnt Dean mention regression in some podcast? Its probably very human to want to go back and be safe. But then in film and also in other situations its of course much more 'nurturing' to gooo ouuut there and experience more instead of running in circles. ;)
Love that this is a *weekly* podcast!

They don't call it Disney's Christmas Carol rather than Charles Dickens Christmas Carol because they aren't faithful. If you saw the movie you would see that it was actually more faithful than most other versions. I still hate motion capture - it's a horrible walking dead looking technology - but the story is extremely faithful with a few notable liberties. Still, more faithful than most of the live action adaptations over the years. Just saying.

Thanks for the highly entertaining (as usual) show.

I just recently discovered Adult Swim and found it hilarious.

The even had a X-Files tidbit in their second episode auditioning new male actors during the time David Duchovny left the show :
