Say what you will about Dean Haglund and Phil Leirness, they are two podcast hosts unlikely to ever get kicked off an airplane because they are too fat, which is exactly what happened to filmmaker and podcast host Kevin Smith this weekend. Obesity and the industrialization of food ARE foremost on Dean and Phil’s minds, however, and on the minds of such experts as Dr. Stanley Monteith and Alex Jones, subjects that have been interviewed for THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE, individuals who believe that the New World Order is here and that its agenda involves a massive reduction in the human population. Meanwhile, it’s President’s Day here in the U.S., so Dean and Phil discuss some of their favorite stories relating to their favorite presidents. Finally, Phil dusts off his soapbox and unleashes a beauty of an oratory on subjects ranging from the Jungian “shadow” archetype to our intuitive understanding of the world and the need for biological diversity. The real question is What DON’T Dean and Phil talk about on this installment of YOUR Chillpak Hollywood Hour?

One more reason for me NOT to fly. Btw, as you know I’m not the smallest around. I never was, I never will be. But after being told I had to be careful, go on a diet, blah blah blah, I decided almost ten years ago to really do something about it. Doctor, psychiatrist, privat clinic, stomach balloon. Great result. I lost eighty pounds! AND MY HEALTH! I never got over it. Before I started losing weight I could walk for hours, ride horses, go windsurfing, climb mountains.. But because of OTHERS I decided to lose weight and I’m paying for it for the rest of my life. And of course because I can’t move anymore I started to gain weight (ever gained 2 pounds a week? On just yoghurt??) I weigh more than I’ve ever done.
Now don’t take me wrong. I don’t attack you guys, I love you guys. But I DO attack people who believe it’s just a matter of eating less and moving more. Because I’m damn sure I ate less and moved more than many slim people have ever done. I’m just lucky I’m afraid to fly and I don’t need to go on planes so I don’t have that ‘chair’ problem. . But I do know they’d kick me out for sure. Not because i’m to heavy, but because I’d beat the shit out of the first sterwardess who’d tell me I’m too big for their chairs.

Another thing. Before losing weight I never needed meds. I WAS healthy, eventhough I was too heavy back then too. But no physical problems. Now I start my day with five pills and need painkillers every day.
