Chillpak Hollywood Hour #158

· Comment(1)

Season Four got off to a bit of a slow start last week. The Thelma and Louise of podcasting were exhausted from their constant travels and rusty after several weeks of pre-recorded and edited shows. This week, Dean and Phil are truly BACK and dare we say … BETTER. THAN. EVER!

From a spoiler-free discussion of the “Lost” finale, to an analysis of the disappointing box office showing by SHREK, to the many creative endeavors of Dean Haglund, this week’s show gets off to a flying start. Starting Wednesday, Dean will have a new web series, “Paranoia Will Destroy ‘Ya”, available at TheRoomLive.com, and he just sold two artworks thru ebay as part of the Doodles for Charity program. Plus, he updates us on his 100 Paintings in 2010 project, and on the editing of his “Hell Gigs” comedy/reality show/documentary project.

Phil has been hard at work logging selects for the documentary feature film THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE and he takes time out to talk about what’s “right” about the conspiracy theories they’ve documented. He also ties this in with a discussion on the Buddhist philosophy of “right speech”, part of the Noble Eightfold Path to end suffering in the world. What follows is a heartfelt, illuminating discussion about not only suffering and speech, but laughter, freedom and human beings’ abilities to either consciously or unconsciously co-create the world around them.

Listen for only a few minutes and you’ll know it’s YOUR Chillpak Hollywood Hour, where WE conspire to INSPIRE!

  1. Ulrike Says:

feels like a good occasion for dropping a link to the script of a season 5 episode of “The X-Files” called “Redux” http://www.txf.net/eg/script/502e.txt
    KRITSCHGAU:
“This is what I was telling you. This is the
hoax into which you’ve been drawn. The roots go back 50 years to
the end of World War II. Playing on a virulent national appetite for bogus revelation and a public newly fearful of the atomic bomb… the U.S. Military Command
began to fan the flames of what were being called flying saucer stories.
There are truths that can kill a nation, Agent Mulder. The military
needed something to **DEFLECT attention away** from its arms strategy
    - global domination from the capability of total enemy annihilation.
The nuclear card was fine as long as we alone could play it. But the
Generals and Politicos knew they could not win a public relations war.
(…….)A classified military project, above top-secret and still ongoing.
You’ve heard the recent denials about Roswell by the military and the
CIA. What’s been the effect? Even wilder and more widespread belief.
The American appetite for bogus revelation, Agent Mulder. ”
