Author A week ago, your friends in podcasting, Dean Haglund and Phil Leirness, were in the United Kingdom, visiting their friends at Sci-Fi-London, celebrating the Royal Wedding, attending the World Premiere of their documentary The Truth Is Out There and discussing the death of Osama Bin Laden. This week, they’re back in Los Angeles, where Dean is preparing his brand new gallery for this Thursday’s Downtown Art Walk and where Phil is directing an incredibly ambitious short film. Most important of all, they’re celebrating their 4th anniversary of changing the way YOU listen to the internet!
That’s right, this is our 4th anniversary show. And if such a thing as a wish accompanies such a milestone, Dean and Phil’s wish is that no matter where in the world you are, you help spread the word about the U.S. Premiere of The Truth Is Out There, which takes place at the Retro Dome in San Jose on Saturday 21 May. It’s my husband’s birthday today, which we celebrated…and then I listened to your 4th anniversary podcast! ‘TTIOT’ was insightful, inspiring and down right fun! One person on there really opened my eyes, and I am now FB friends with Dr Nicki J Monti. – Phil, thanks for introducing me to Natacha Adjovi as we are now FB friends and she sent me a link to the Noetic Science group she is part of. – Yes Dean you did ask for that last question (I have it all recorded on my I-pod, which I don’t intend to show anyone.) And I didn’t appreciate you laughing on the podcast when you were talking about my sister. I’m not saying YOU have no understanding of someone with this illness. But there are some weirdo fans out there (not all, but some who completely devote themselves to you (because of X Files) and have already tried to make fun of that incident with no tact whatsoever! I’d like to stress to these individuals that dealing with a bi-polar disorder is not a laughing matter and my family have dealt with it since my sister was diagnosed as a little girl. And the sad news is she seems to be getting bad again yet things were going so well for her. Anyway best of luck with US premiere etc.
