The recent Emmy nominations are discussed at the outset and very quickly the show turns into a grudge match pitting comedy against drama, Luther vs. Sherlock, Dean Haglund vs. Phil Leirness and Dean Haglund vs. David Lynch!
That’s right, you’re about to hear what happened when Dean had to fulfill his obligation (upon losing the annual Chillpak Hollywood Oscar pool) to watch the pilot episode of David Lynch’s seminal series Twin Peaks.

Dean Haglund and Phil Leirness spend a few minutes talking about the meaning of the day before putting the “your” in YOUR Chillpak Hollywood Hour … They debate the merits, approach and achievements of David Lynch because a loyal listener wanted them to … They discuss the art and craft of casting directors because a loyal listener wanted them to … They examine the box office successes of three current comedy films and what that success says about the culture (and times) in which we live AND they take time to remember Gil Scott-Heron and Jeff Conaway, both of whom died this past week. All this from the Broadway gallery of artist Dean Haglund in downtown Los Angeles!
