Chillpak Hollywood Hour #240

Happy Holidays from your friends in podcasting!

Because it’s the holidays, we don’t want to spoil the surprises contained in this week’s show. We’ll let you unwrap at a time and place of your own choosing.

Suffice it to say, if you like movies, music, politics, theatre, comedy, irreverence, inspiration and good conversation, and especially if you like Dean Haglund and Phil Leirness, you’ll enjoy this brand new episode.

It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

It’s YOUR Chillpak Hollywood Hour!

Chillpak Hollywood Hour #164

It’s the day after Independence Day here in the USA, and your friends in podcasting are celebrating the “independents”. An hour dedicated to independent film, filmmaking, film festivals and the many and varied paths film artists take to get where they are going. Dean and Phil welcome special guest Josh Mandel, a Slamdance film festival programmer, a documentary filmmaker, an eloquent, enthusiastic, informative speaker, and a darn stylish fellow!

Chillpak Hollywood Hour #141

Phil just got back from Park City, Utah, and he reports on all the Sundance and Slamdance activities. He and Dean also finish recapping their long voyage to the Pacific Northwest, with some particularly spooky stories about the area in and surrounding Yakima, Washington. This week, they’re on the road to Texas, but before they depart, they’ll be conducting an interview with the legendary Eric Roberts. They talk about this and weigh in on a wide variety of topics including Conan O’Brien’s last “Tonight Show”, the Producers Guild of America Awards, the Golden Globes, Avatar and what they’re reading … They even discuss complaints they’ve received about the audio quality of recent shows while actually having audio problems! It’s all this week on YOUR Chillpak Hollywood Hour.

About the show
Dean Haglund, the actor, improv comic and inventor (best known as “Langly,” one of the three computer-hacking geeks on “The X-Files” and their spin-off series “The Lone Gunmen”) engages in thought-provoking, insightful, and irreverent cultural conversation with his co-host and producing partner, independent filmmaker and certified violence prevention specialist Phil Leirness in the production offices of Rational Exuberance. Warning: Dean and Phil's usually hilarious and frequently inspiring discussions are habit-forming, so please, enjoy responsibly!
